MEET THE BAND
Robin Myles (Jeff)
Robin has been with Explosive Light Orchestra from the start. As Musical Director Robin takes on quite a lot of responsibility, from fine-tuning the musical arrangements to assisting other members with perfecting performances. He has worked with legendary ELO and Queen producer Mack on Original Music and during this, the concept of Explosive Light Orchestra was born; " remind people of great nostalgic music and do it with a rocky edge, hence Explosive". Robin is also a published composer, classically-trained pianist, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, professional sound technician, lighting technician and AV technician.
Paul "Steady" Steade (Drums)
Steady has been playing the drums since he was 12 years old. He has played with many successful acts, playing varied genres of music, which allowed him to hone the stage craft he shows today.
He brings with him a great passion and understanding of the musicality required in each of these unique songs.

Kevin Dyke (Bass & Vocals)
Kevin began piano lessons at 11 years old but moved to Bass at 13 and started performing in the clubs around Sheffield.
At 21 Kev turned professional touring the UK playing with various covers bands and tribute acts, and as a solo performer.
As a lifelong ELO fan, the opportunity to join the Explosive Light Orchestra was not to be missed.
Kevin is now excited to be part of one of the UK's best tributes to Jeff Lynne and ELO.
Gareth James (Lead Guitar & Vocals)
Gareth first picked up the guitar aged 16 and started out playing classic rock covers at village halls in Staffordshire. He has since played in many bands across the country covering styles including classic rock, pub rock, blues, RnB and folk rock. He has always been big fan of Jeff Lynne and ELO and was thrilled to be asked to play with Explosive Light Orchestra.
David Burgoyne (Violin)
David is an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist, playing violin, piano, keyboards, drums, guitar, and others too. His violin playing is perfect for the music of ELO and always goes down extremely well with audiences. Dave is an amazing music educator, an insanely talented musician and arranger and a thoroughly nice guy too.
