Ensemble 'Fronimo': ’The Muses Gardin for delight’. 17th century Italian and English music

Sint Joris Concert on Sunday afternoon October 19 2025.

We're starting the season on Sunday October 19 with Ensemble 'Fronimo': soprano baroque harp lute/theorbo viola da gamba.

Ensemble 'Fronimo' is an old friend in our series. This time they're coming with a wonderful program of lively highly accessible English and Italian 17th-century music. All short compositions full of tonal color and surprising turns. Your thoughts won't wander for a moment! Let yourself be surprised for an hour and have a happy smile conjured on your face by this rich mix of vocal works and instrumental pieces.

The 4 musicians have performed at among others the Early Music Festival in York and Cambridge London's Wigmore Hall and during the Mozart Festival in Germany. With the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra the Holland Baroque Society and De Nederlandse Bachvereniging. In short: it doesn't get any better!

Small but excellent Bredevoort consistently puts on impressive shows during the Sint Joris concerts.

Finally:

The concert takes place on October 19 in the Sint Joris Church Markt 3 Bredevoort. Start time 3:00 PM. Church open from 2:30 PM. The duration of the concert is approximately one hour.

Afterwards there will be an opportunity to chat with the musicians. Refreshments will also be available.

At the exit a voluntary contribution with a suggested amount of €14 will be requested to make it possible to continue organizing these concerts. (Donation via QR code is possible.)

Admission is free for children under 16.
