Outdoor Celebration of Lammas/Lughnasa -- half way point of summer

Forest Edge Cearcall invites you to join us to gather for Lammas/Lughnasa, the midpoint of summer, on Saturday evening, August 2, 6 pm at 1465 Irving Street. Our outdoor celebration and ritual will include time of gratitude for the first harvest, the blessing of the "first loaf", a wander, and a time to reflect on this season's inner harvests. We will conclude with a community celebration with seasonal foods.This marking of the season is an ancient recognition of the first grain harvests, the acknowledgement that the sun's power begins to diminish, and attention to the ways our bodies, minds, and spirits also turn toward the shorter days and longer nights.
