Join us for grassroots music-making fun and free performances throughout the afternoon. Held in 1,000 cities around the world, Make Music Day is the world’s largest annual music event. AMP is proud to be the hub of musical festivities in Winsted, CT.
Planned Music Performances:
The Mad River Musician: 3pm
Guitarist and singer Ella will perform favorite tunes. A student at Mad River Music and recent Northwest Regional 7 High School graduate, Ella has been learning guitar since June.
Bill Murphy: 3:30pm
Known as the “Vintage Human Jukebox,” Connecticut-based musician Bill Murphy will be performing jukebox hits from over the last 60 years on his guitar and keyboard. You’ll hear folk, Americana, rock, pop, and blues favorites.
JK & Calla: 4pm
Long-time, Calla Begley (vocals) and JK (guitar) reunite for this special Make Music Day performance.
