Step into the world of Minnesota's most cherished artistic tradition! For over a century, seed art has captivated visitors at the Great Minnesota Get-Together, transforming humble grains, beans, and seeds into stunning masterpieces that tell stories, celebrate heritage, and showcase incredible creativity. Join Minneapolis-based artist Nick Rindo for an all-inclusive introduction to Minnesota State Fair Crop Art. This workshop provides all the tools and knowledge required to submit your first entry in next year's State Fair. The session reviews current rules and categories while exploring the rich history of Minnesota crop art.
We'll cover the entire process—from seed gathering and planning to execution, framing, and finishing. The instructor provides all tools, backing, and seeds required for your project. Multiple hands-on demonstrations will be presented, along with a deep dive into your own ideas and the tips and tricks that will make them more successful.
