Congregation Shaarey Zedek is bringing back the much-loved Purim Shpiel!! SHOW Saturday, March 7th, 2026 after Shabbat. This Purim we will be presenting Motown Operetta directed by Debbie Maslowsky.

SHAAREY ZEDEK – A MOTOWN PURIM SHPIEL – Saturday, March 7, 2026
AUDITION DATE/TIME: Thursday, October 3 between 6:30 – 9:30 pm (you will be assigned an audition time in advance)
AUDITION LOCATION: Shaarey Zedek Synagogue (Room TBA)
PREPARATION: Please prepare a 3 minute song in the “Motown” style. We will have an audition accompanist so please bring sheet music with you OR bring your own accompaniment track on your phone/device.
REHEARSAL AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS: We will be rehearsing the show starting with a review of the music in late-November/Early-December; rehearsals will then be weekly (day of week TBA). Starting in late-January, there will be a few added rehearsals on Sundays and the dress rehearsal on Thursday, March 5.
