Winnemucca: Healthy Teens Ages 10-12

Family Resource Center is hosting a FREE Healthy Teens program for children in grades 5th-7th (ages 10-12) in Winnemucca. Held at the Humboldt County Library, 85 E 5th St, on Friday, Aug. 8th, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Permission slips are required, signed by parent/guardian before class. Youth who complete the program will receive a FREE backpack filled with school supplies!

"Promoting Health Among Teens" is a lively, evidence-based, age appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle social pressures. Youth learn about adolescence, hygiene, responsibility, avoiding risky behaviors, and build knowledge and confidence.
