1. Gathering Activity (10–15 minutes)
Something Scouts can do as families arrive.
Examples: coloring sheets, Cub Scout word search, Lego build challenge, quick craft, knot-tying station.
Keeps early arrivers busy and sets a welcoming tone.
2. Opening (10 minutes)
Flag Ceremony (led by a Den or Scout assigned ahead of time).
Scout Oath & Scout Law (all together).
Optional: short prayer or inspirational message.
Quick welcome by Cubmaster.
3. Announcements & Recognition (10 minutes)
Announce upcoming events (campouts, popcorn sales, service projects).
Call up Scouts to receive adventure loops, pins, or rank awards.
Celebrate birthdays or special accomplishments.
4. Main Activity / Program (20–30 minutes)
This is the heart of the meeting. Tailor to rank requirements or electives. Examples:
STEM theme: build paper rockets, slime science, simple circuits.
Outdoor skills: knot relay, compass scavenger hunt, fire safety demo.
Discovery Center tie-in: activity stations that match rank requirements.
Service project: make cards for veterans, assemble hygiene kits.
5. Game or Physical Activity (10–15 minutes)
High-energy, fun way to release wiggles.
Examples: dodgeball with pool noodles, relay races, “Sharks & Minnows,” Gaga Ball.
Tip: tie into the theme if possible.
6. Closing (5–10 minutes)
Closing Flag Ceremony (led by another Den if possible).
Short reflection or “Cubmaster’s Minute” (values-based story).
Remind families of next meeting/event.
End with Scout Vespers or simple cheer.
7. After-Meeting (optional)
Parents/leaders quick check-in.
Cleanup—each Den assigned an area.
