Join us on the morning of November 30, 2025 (7:30 AM–9:30 AM) for Pangot Earth Walks: Migratory Birds & Himalayan Flora. Led by naturalist Jagjiwan S. Dhami, this two-hour guided experience takes you through the lush forests of Pangot—one of India’s most celebrated birding destinations.


As the morning unfolds over the cool Himalayan slopes, spot a variety of migratory species, colourful forest birds, and unique high-altitude flora. From the flitting movement of Himalayan warblers and flycatchers to the serene beauty of rhododendrons and oak forests, this walk promises both visual and sensory delight.

  • Take a bus to Nainital, then hire a taxi to Pangot.
  • By Train
  • The nearest railway station is Kathgodam (approx. 50–60 km). Taxis are available from the station.


Weather Conditions

Late November in Pangot is pleasantly cool to cold, with temperatures ranging from 6°C to 15°C. Crisp air, morning mist, and golden light create excellent conditions for birdwatching and photography.
