What is Open Streets about?
Open Streets is part of a unique series of events that have been held in over 100 cities in North America. The streets are temporarily closed to vehicular traffic, allowing people to use them for a host of healthy and fun physical activities like walking, cycling, yoga, dancing, and fitness.
The Sandwich Hub will be rockin’ on the road once again!
The Open Streets Windsor route includes eight designated activity hubs. The hubs are designated for individuals, businesses and organizations to animate the spaces with community-led, interactive activities like exercise, street games, obstacle courses, neighbourhood tours, dance classes, samples, musical performances, art installations and more. The possibilities are endless and that’s where you come in!
Are you part of a club or performance group? Do you want the street to be your stage? Open Streets is the largest free recreation program in the city’s history. With an average 10,000 people participating annually in Open Streets Windsor, it is a great way to introduce your organization or brand to a large and diverse audience in a fun setting.
