Logging Operations Information Session and Walkthrough

"Paradise Park - Forestry and Logging Starting this Winter

Join county forester Hannah Dallas on December 6th 10:00-12:00 for a walk through the logging that will be taking place this winter in the Town Forest section of Paradise Park. Meet at the Country Road Trailhead - rain date is December 7th.

The logging work will begin once the ground is well frozen. It is the first step in implementing the park's updated management plan with the goals of creating a forest with a diversity of tree ages, species, and structure for a more resilient forest. This will not only make our forest stronger but will serve as an educational model of best practices in Vermont forestry.

Expect trail closures this winter at the County Road and Juniper Road Trailheads."
