Lawn Chair Chats Series

The SWHS Semiquincentennial Committee (250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence) will sponsor the first of a series of Lawn Chair Chats on Saturday, August 16, 10:00 a.m. - noon on the lawn of 1225 Main St., hosted by the Society and our amazing community of arm chair historians.

Two themes of the Semiquincentennial are Telling Inclusive Stories and the Power of Place. There will be more Lawn Chair Chats around town over the next year to allow our residents to share their stories about the places they know best.

We will provide the lawn chairs and lemonade. The event is drop-in to chat and share stories of this area of "Old Main Street". The public is invited. In case of inclement weather, call 860-291-9958 for updates.
