Gadget's Storytime

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month this May, we're offering a special program designed for children in elementary school (Kindergarten – 5th grade) and their trusted adults. Through engaging activities, participants will explore the importance of mental health, focusing on feelings, thoughts, and actions, while learning effective techniques for daily self-care. This program presents mental health wellness in a safe and non-threatening manner, allowing children to cultivate emotional response skills, identify stressors, and develop healthy coping strategies.

Additionally, they'll learn how to identify supportive and reliable adults who can help them along their journey towards mental well-being. Join us as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month and promote a healthier, more resilient future for our young ones.

Each child will leave with their very own dog plushie and workbook!

This program is supported by the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant (PHHSBG) funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
