Hey everyone,
I’ve reached out to many people and asked what it is they would like to see in a Concert here in Windsor.
After reaching out to the masses, it came down to what this W.A.R.P. Festival stands for.
Arena Rock was a big one. “We Want Arena Rock!!!!
So I created the W.A.R.P. Festival with that in mind. And that’s how the whole name for the Festival came about.
Windsor wants Arena Rock.
So let’s turn it into a Big Party!
Voila, in came the initials W.A.R.P.
Windsor Arena Rock Party!!!
The name was created.
After the birth of the name, came the idea of the music. It needed variety, it needed power, it needed mystique, and it needed to be Arena Rock N Roll!!!
Bringing on board a Fleetwood Mac tribute was a no brainer. A Huge band with such powerful music that gave us the Album Rumors. It was a home run and a perfect fit for the show.
Now we needed a hard rock band that was gonna co exist with the Fleetwood theme, yet vary enough to take us to a different part of the spectrum. Heart was a huge success with a catalogue that spans a few decades.
No Arena Rock Party is complete without the massive hits from the Hair Metal days of the 80’s. All your favourite hits from the Decade of Decadence ring through the night and take you back to your yesteryears.
Capping of the night is a tribute to none other than the Kings of Arena Rock!! Van Halen. Not just giving you 1, but 2 Huge eras from the band. You get the Diamond Dave Era with one vocalist and the Red Rocker Era from a different vocalist.
Saturday Nov. 1st promises to give you a night to remember.
