Basic West Coast Swing 4 Week Series - Limited Attendance - Pass along to friends
Let's face it, West Coast Swing is not the easiest dance to learn, but it is one of the most rewarding and dynamic dances allowing you to create your own individual style. Without the knowledge of both 6 count and 8 count patterns, attending a dance with more experienced dancers can be frustrating. I see many dancers come to a beginner lesson or two, then do not return due to the lack of familiarity with enough patterns & technique to dance confidently with more advanced dancers. Also, due to regional differences in the dance, some terminology changes based on where your instructors learned.
This 4 Week Series will be covering basic patterns & simple variations to give you enough of a background to confidently attend any West Coast Swing Dances in the region, AND get you to the point where you can step into novice & intermediate level classes.
We will also be keeping these classes rather small … 5 to no more than 10 leaders & followers per session, so sign up early. No partner needed, and we will be rotating in the class.
Classes will be held Thursday Evenings, Sept 18 & 25, Oct 02 & 09, 2025
From 7:30 8:30PM (ish), with some dancing afterwards.
