Three months ago, former Catskill Mountain cop Mike Ellis accused two men of killing. One of them was his father and a cold case homicide, the other was a true crime podcaster and a modern-day murder. Their alleged crimes are very similar: A young woman. She’s been strangled. And of course, The Overlook. Two murders forty years apart. When the daughter of the cold case victim returns, Mike is forced out of self-isolation to examine his role in both cases. Pulled from his father’s cabin, Mike must face the fact that he may have been wrong and start to dismantle his own beliefs, at the cost of friends and allies. He will have to trade his confidence with the present-day investigation for answers about the cold case. What he finds will change his life as well as the lives of everyone surrounding him. As friends become enemies, and enemies become friends, can Mike figure out which side of the truth he’s on?
