Cancer has touched almost everyone in one form or another, whether you have been diagnosed yourself or someone you know has been affected by this disease, or if you have a family history of cancer. Join St. Luke's Parish Nurse, Lisa Crump, and Christian Church, Community Health Educator from Moffitt Cancer Center, for this informative health series. These sessions will cover cancer screening and prevention, healthy living and nutrition, new emerging treatments, understanding cancer research, and resources.
Join us for any or all of the sessions listed below that interest you. Each session will be held on Sunday afternoons in Building C on St. Luke's campus from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All classes are FREE.
August 24: Lung Cancer
September 21: Colorectal Cancer
October 19: Breast Cancer
November 9: Understanding Cancer Research (lunch included))
Lunch is included with the November session, but feel free to bring a snack or light lunch to enjoy during the other sessions.
Each session should last about 1 hour with Q & A afterwards. This series is open to all – those experiencing cancer themselves or in their families, those with a family history of one of these types of cancers, those who want to expand their knowledge, or those who want to understand how to connect with Moffitt.
