THE PASSIONS OF CAROL (1975) in 35mm

Shaun Costello’s adults-only, erotically charged retelling of A CHRISTMAS CAROL follows Mary Stuart as a miserly Scrooge on her journey through time on a snowy Christmas Eve. Featuring a rare meek and sympathetic role for Jamie Gillis as the humble Bob Hatchet, this at-times surreal and sensual (yet still faithful) adaptation is Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas redemption tale like you’ve never seen it before.

Notable for its lavish production design, as well as for making more use of “Tubular Bells” than THE EXORCIST, PASSIONS OF CAROL aimed high to bring mainstream crossover appeal and genuine filmmaking craft to the adult film market by adapting the timeless classic with a sexy twist. So come one, come all, and ring in the season at midnight with this special presentation.
