Starring the King of Rock ’n’ Roll himself, Elvis Presley, this charming musical comedy follows Tulsa McLean, a U.S. Army soldier stationed in West Germany who dreams of opening a nightclub once he’s discharged. To raise the cash, he takes a bet that he can win the heart of a hard-to-get nightclub dancer, played by Juliet Prowse—but love, of course, has other plans. With catchy tunes, playful humor, and a touch of romance, G.I. Blues marked Elvis’s first film after serving in the Army, bringing a new level of maturity and charisma to the screen.
