Welcome to the KADA's Kentucky Biochar Initiative!
We are excited to invite you to attend the upcoming NRCS Conservation On-Farm Trial Biochar Workshop, hosted by KADA's Technical Assistant, Tatum Lewis owner of Black Roots Farm on Friday, May 30th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This hands-on workshop will feature a special Biochar Kiln Burn Demonstration by Kelpie Wilson, founder of Wilson Biochar Associates. Kelpie is a mechanical engineer, writer, and consultant with decades of experience in renewable energy, forest protection, and biochar technology. She has worked with clients ranging from the International Biochar Initiative to state departments, universities, and grassroots agricultural groups across the country. Her expertise in climate change, energy, and the environment has made her a leading voice in biochar market development.
