About the Outing Leader: Jeff is an avid outdoor enthusiast & naturalist who’s been enjoying the natural world for 50 years. He’s a member of the Friends of the Fells, The Trustees, Mass Audubon, Sudbury Valley Trustees, Acton Conservation Trust, Arlington Land Trust, Essex Greenbelt, Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions, The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Tufts University and The Massachusetts Archaeological Society, Inc. He and his wife, Carol Andrulli, have been hiking in the Fells for over 30 years & frequently participate in numerous hiking/nature programs.

About the Outing: Fall is a week away…do you know how much daylight we’ll have in the Boston area on the Autumnal Equinox (September 22nd)? Our walk will focus on Plant Identification with some select natural history and lore thrown in too. They'll be frequent stops for identification and discussion. We may need to move quickly between stops so we can maximize what we see. Has your well run dry? Maybe we’ll see a plant used to help locate water? A plant whose root was once used to make rootbeer? And how about a tree used to help alleviate a cough?
