Cedar Valley NDD Groundbreaking

Fueling Local Growth Through Strategic Neighborhood Investment. The City’s Neighborhood Design District (NDD) initiative is a cornerstone of our economic development and growth management efforts, designed to spark revitalization, attract private investment, and promote residents' community welness.

We’re kicking off Winchester’s first NDD project, Cedar Valley, with a groundbreaking event on June 25 at Ward Plaza. Join us as we celebrate the transformation of Ward Plaza and the surrounding area into a dynamic, mixed-use neighborhood that will include a Publix and high end restaurants, shops, and green space.

Next, Winchester residents will help shape the rollout of two more NDDs: Old Town and Berryville Avenue corridor. Stay tuned as we continue advancing resident driven planning with a focus on job creation, investment, and sustainable economic opportunity.
