Authors Recommend afternoon at P&G Wells

Have you ever wanted to ask your favourite author what you should read next?

On Saturday 21 June, join the team at P&G Wells Bookshop as we welcome five authors to tell you about their favourite books, talk to you about what you like to read, make suggestions about what you might like to read next, or even come up with a whole summer tbr* pile!

P&G Wells is teaming up with a group of literary special guests to celebrate Independent Bookshop Week 2025 (14-21 June). Authors Kirsty Applebaum, Claire Fuller, Judith Heneghan, Alice Hunt, and James McConnachie will be joining the bookshop team from 2:00 – 5:00pm on Saturday 21 June to chat with customers and recommend some of their favourite books, including fiction and non-fiction, and books for adults and children. Drop in to find your new summer reads, and to celebrate the particular joy of independent bookshops.
