Block Printing Experience Day

What: Join us for a day of discovery and learn the slow methodical process of traditional Indian block printing. No previous experience required, we will learn absolutely everything together. During the morning session you'll learn about the history of wooden printing blocks before practicing the techniques on cotton with small and medium sized designs. Then you will print your own Fair Trade cotton tote bag in colours & designs of your choice. After lunch you’ll be introduced to larger sized printing blocks, and learn about pattern placement, tiling, creating borders & corners – then go on to print your own tea towel & cushion cover
Who: Suitable for absolute beginners. Adults only.
