Water Wise Workshop Series - First Session: Aquifer Health & Water Flows

Salwa Khan of the Mothering Earth podcast, and program on 94.3 KWVH Radio, the Wimberley Valley Watershed Association, The City of Woodcreek, City of Wimberley, & the Blanco Cypress Watershed Protection Plan are undertaking Water Wise, a community education initiative for water resiliency.
Our region is currently experiencing a drought that limits outdoor water use and that situation is likely to continue into the future. It’s important to understand where our water comes from, how much there is and how the earth functions as both a source and reservoir of water. This session will explore these issues which are key to understanding the need for water conservation. The session will conclude with a demonstration
of how an aquifer works.
