The annual Wilson Community Christmas Luncheon returns this year in the fellowship hall of First Christian Church. First Christian Church is located at 207 Tarboro St. NE. The event is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Christmas Day. All are welcome.
The lunch is supported through partnering churches St. James Christian, St. Timothy’s Episcopal, First United Methodist and First Christian and offers a hot meal, a chance to make new friends and enjoy holiday music. Organizers say members of the faith-based community are dedicated to changing a potentially lonely day for someone into something special. Whether you are going to enjoy the gathering or to volunteer, everyone is welcome to participate in a time of joy and fellowship, organizers say.
Volunteers are needed, and donations are welcome. Funds will be used to purchase everyday essentials and goodies as takeaways for those in attendance.
