At Transition Wilmslow Repair Cafés, volunteers help people fix broken household items instead of throwing them away. From small electricals and lamps to clothing, toys and bikes, our skilled repairers work alongside residents to diagnose problems and carry out repairs where possible. Repair Cafés save money, reduce waste and cut carbon emissions, while also sharing practical skills and bringing the community together. Even when items can’t be fully fixed, people often leave with a better understanding of how things work, and with the confidence to try repairing things themselves in the future.
