Autumnal Interest in the Garden

The Gardening Club is delighted that Michael Myers is the first speaker in our autumn programme. He will talk about 'Autumnal Interest in the Garden' on 25 September. The presentation starts at 7.30pm in the Main Hall at the Guild for Lifelong Learning.

Michael is a very knowledgeable speaker. He trained in horticulture at Askham Byran College in York. During this time, he worked on the Rock Garden at Wisley. He has a Master's Degree in fungal technology and has recently completed a RHS Master of Horticulture Degree with a thesis on Hepaticas.

Michael has his own business in Garden Design and also lectures part time at Craven College (Skipton) and Harlow Carr. He belongs to the Alpine Garden Society, Hardy Plant Society and Plant Heritage. He's a galanthophile growing nearly 300 varieties of Snowdrop! He also grows many different types of plant, and fortunately he will also be bringing plants for sale during the coffee break.
