What is peat?
Peat is a natural, organic material—essentially layers of decomposed vegetation—that has been harvested and dried for centuries in Scotland and beyond. When used to dry malted barley, it infuses whiskey with distinctive smoky, earthy, and sometimes maritime flavors. From subtle whispers of smoke to full-on bonfire intensity, peated whiskeys offer a flavor adventure unlike any other.
This tasting will be led by Jared Card from ImpexBev, who will guide us through a curated selection and share insights into the traditions behind these unique drams.
