Participatory Mapping: Green Stormwater Infrastructure

Join us for a hands-on Participatory Mapping workshop! We would like community members like you to help us identify and map out Green Stormwater Solutions in your neighborhood. Your local knowledge is essential to help shape cleaner, greener, and more climate resilient spaces. This event is a part of study conducted by researchers at the University of Delaware. What is participatory mapping?

This is a collaborative workshop where community members share their insights on preference and location of green stormwater infrastructure on large printed maps.

What are Green Stormwater practices?

They’re nature-based approaches - like rain gardens, permeable pavement, green roofs and bioswales - that help manage rainwater where it falls.

What will happen at the event?

• Brief introduction to green stormwater infrastructure
• Group mapping and discussion activities
• Dinner provided
• Opportunity to ask questions at any time

Your participation

• Voluntary: You can participate as much or as little as you like. You may leave at any time without penalty.
• Confidential: No personal information will be collected. Your feedback may be used in research publications, but will remain anonymous.
• No compensation: There will be no financial compensation, but dinner is free.
