Despite growing recognition of its value, palliative care remains
underutilized across many healthcare settings. This live, inperson
conference is designed to address persistent knowledge
and practice gaps that delay timely referrals and hinder
effective collaboration. Participants will explore key areas of
misunderstanding, including the common belief that palliative
care is only appropriate for end-of-life or hospice-eligible patients.
The program emphasizes early integration of palliative principles
across the disease trajectory.
Through interactive sessions and expert-led discussions,
attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the distinct role
palliative care plays on interdisciplinary teams, particularly
in managing complex symptoms and facilitating advanced
communication around goals of care, prognosis, and code status.
This program will empower clinicians across disciplines to identify
patients who may benefit from palliative care earlier, communicate
with greater confidence and compassion, and contribute to
improved outcomes for both patients and families.
