Hooked on Sonics: X-Mess
It's been a messy year with all the trimmings for holiday confusion, and Hooked on Sonics is ready to make it messier! Join us for our annual X-Mess performance, our 38th concert in the series, and one of our most loved of reviled shows of the year!
This year we have (at least) 6 performances of Sound Art, Sampling Disasters, Christmas Cutouts, Invoked Holiday Exasperation, Visual Extremities, and other Aural Effluvia... All sets are tainted by the holiday, and are sure to effect your holiday spirit in one way or another.
Come out for an evening of disastrously merry sound in Wilmington's premiere alternative music venue, The Barzarre!

Bryce Eiman
Born St Joseph, Missouri, Bryce Eiman has sporadically released music since 1986. Many of his pieces are constructed using a Casio Sk-5, a staple of 80s cassette culture, and in his hands an instrument of impressive range. His work - a mixture of obscurantism, polyrhythm, and academic tone studies - has been described as 'richly textured', 'unexpectedly melodic', and 'worse than dead air'. He has performed, and released, under the names 'DRSUK', 'Ileic Passion','EroSorE', and 'Bryce Clayton Eiman'. He was in the seminal Cleveland powernoise band 'WOMB' with Peter Keller, and most recently has been a member of the bands 'Weather Machine' (with Joe Hendrix), and 'Bicameral Mind' (with Shaun Sandor). Performed along with James Wallace in an expanded version of Jenks Miller's 'Horseback' to open for Jack Rose. Obvious influences include Nocturnal Emissions, Arcane Device, Asmus Tietchens, and Moondog.

Since 1984 CHANGES TO blind has gnawed away at an inexplicable world of sound, organizing it and projecting his dark-hearted sonic stage on an unsuspecting world. CTb will present an X-Mess fantasy in audio collage and sound.
