Free No-Frills Race
What: Free 5K No-Frills Race or shorter walking option (about 1.5 miles).
Where: Kankakee Sands Preserve, on the north side of Rt 113, 1.1 miles west of the intersection of Rt 113 and River Rd (which goes to Wilmington) or 2 miles east of Braidwood.
When: Sunday, October 19th, 4:00 pm.
Details: Informal, no frills, 5K run or shorter walking option (about 1.5 miles). No entry fee, no shirts, no bling, no awards (well... maybe a participation award), no water station. Bring your own refreshments. Did I mention no entry fee? BUT... it will be timed, with posted results, Due to parking space, limited to first 29 vehicles to respond (plus 2 handicap parking spaces) (bring as many as you want in each vehicle.) If you plan to attend, post a comment below. When we get to 29 responses, we're done. After the race, join me for no-frills "fine" dining (NOT FREE)🙂 at Polk-A-Dot in nearby Braidwood.
