Founding Fathers & Royals: duPont Connections

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, some of the connections the duPonts had with our country’s founding fathers, as well as some royals, will be the focus for this special tour. Learn about the friendships between Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and the duPont family patriarch Pierre Samuel duPont de Nemours. You’ll also hear about Jessie Ball duPont’s family connections and interests. Selected items from the collection not on view will be shown by the Manager of Collections and Special Interpretive Projects.

The tour will last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
