Swing into Science Mill Creek Stomp

It’s time to revisit the beautiful Mill Creek with Naturalist Ivana Shandor for some creek stomping fun. Bring your curiosity as students catch critters with their dip nets, place them in collection tubs, identify what is living in the stream, and the changes they may have undergone since the Spring. Nets and basins will be provided along with guidance in identification of creek critters, their features, and data collection. We will hike from the Environmental Center to the creek and everyone entering Mill Creek must wear close-toed shoes like old sneakers. No flip flops or open-toed sandals are allowed. This program is geared for children 3 to 5 but they may be accompanied by siblings. Register online or call (717) 295-2055 to register and prepay by noon on Wednesday, September 3. $4.00 per child aged 3 and up and $1.00 per adult.
