Get ready for an epic outdoor adventure designed to help Webelos earn THREE key hiking-based achievements!
📅 Date: Saturday, October 25
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: Sundown Meadow, Countryside, IL
🚪 Entrance: S LaGrange Rd, just north of 67th St
🎯 Who’s Invited: Webelos Scouts + Parents
💥 Bonus: Wolves and Bears can earn rank-specific requirements too!
🧭 Purpose:
This Two-Miler helps Webelos complete:
- ✅ Webelos Walkabout (required)
- ⚙️ Tech on the Trail (elective)
- ➗ Math on the Trail (elective)
Scouts will learn:
- Basic hiking-related first aid
- How to use pace to estimate trail time
- Outdoor Code & Leave No Trace principles
🙌 Volunteers Needed!
- Adults to run learning stations
- Youth (Tenderfoot–First Class) to teach first aid & lead hikes
