DUNIYA is an amazing West African band, comprised of musicians from Mali, USA, & India which fuses together ancient and modern sounds and instruments. Their music is highly rhythmic and extremely danceable, interspersed by moments of slower, deeply profound cultural grooves. DUNIYA is guaranteed to move your body and soul and create a unique musical experience you won't soon forget.

Lead Singer Oumou Mariko and djembe player Drissa Kone both hail from Bamako, Mali and have a deeply rooted mastery of traditional Malian music and dance. Greg Fletcher, formerly of Soul Union, arranges the music and plays a 12 stringed harp/lute from Mali called the Kamelengoni. Our newest member Srishti Biryani Oswald is a young Indian Bansuri flute phenom, adding a rich and sweet texture to the music.
