A message from Grace :

Hello. My name is Grace Sakurada. I moved to Mendocino County in 2016 and immediately fell in love with the land and the community. Mendocino County has blessed me with a beautiful family and so many amazing friends. I am a therapist with a passion for helping individuals, couples and families make meaningful change in their lives. I have worked in many different settings in the community over the years and I am always looking for new and exciting ways to bring health, wellness and healing to the area. My family and I moved to Laytonville in 2023 to follow our dreams of raising our children in close relationship with the earth and the food we eat. I am passionate about our family farm and supporting the local farm community. My family and I raise chickens, turkeys and pigs, as well as have a beautiful organic garden we love to share from. Over the last several years I have been inspired to explore and cultivate a deep reciprocal relationship with the earth, myself and those around me. Having the opportunity to bring yet another life into this world is such a blessing and honor for me. This will be the second baby I get to carry and birth. Birthing and raising a child has been the most humbling and awakening experience of my life. I am recognizing that I am bringing a deeper wisdom into planning this upcoming birth thanks to my prior experience. With this has come a call to honor this birth as the deeply spiritual experience it will be for me and my family. A way in which we are honoring this experience is by choosing a holistic birth team who we trust to hold and support this process with us.
