Join Windham Theatre Guild for a sprightly and joyful holiday story this December! Spend some time at the Burton Leavitt Theatre and come see Yes, Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus by Bob Cooner. Inspired by the famous 1897 New York Sun editorial, Yes, Virginia follows eight-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon who finds her world shaken when school friends tell her there is no Santa Claus. Distressed, she turns to her family and ultimately writes a letter to The New York Sun to discover the truth. This heartwarming, funny, and poignant play captures the innocence of childhood, the struggles of family life, and the enduring power of belief. Performances will take place December 5th-6th, and 11th-14th at 7:30 pm with matinee performances December 7th & 14th at 2 pm. Both matinee performances will also feature a visit from Santa with fun and free photo opportunities after the show!
In addition to Santa visits during the matinees, WTG will be hosting a food drive to benefit the Covenant Soup Kitchen. You can bring in non-perishables or cash donations to any performance to help support our friends and families in need. Tickets can be purchased at the door, online at windhamtheatreguild.org/tickets or by calling 860-423-2245
