Event Overview:
The 2025 New York State Championship Drill & Parade is back in Western New York! This thrilling event only takes place in the Buffalo area once every four years, so don’t miss out on the action! Prepare to witness the ultimate display of firefighter, machine, and firematic skill as teams of New York's Fastest Firefighters compete in eight thrilling events! From hose stretching to ladder climbs, these contests will keep you on the edge of your seat, with most completed in under 30 seconds! Join us for an unforgettable day filled with excitement, food, drinks, and fun for the entire family!

Parade Schedule – Sunday, August 17th, 2025:

1:00 PM – Parade begins at ECC North’s Tech Drive entrance, proceeding down Main Street to the Main-Transit Fire Department Grounds.

About Us: The Main-Transit Fire Department

The Main-Transit Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization and has been proudly serving the town of Amherst since 1936 in emergency medical, fire and motor vehicle rescue services. Main-Transit Fire Department is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All proceeds to benefit the Main-Transit Fire Department.

About Us: The Main-Transit Slo-Pokes Drill Team

The Slo-Pokes are active members of the Main-Transit Fire Department that compete in Firematic Competitions throughout the state. Events include both motorized and foot races, which utilize many facets of everyday firefighting skills. The Slo-Pokes are an integral part of Main-Transit, as the members develop unity, dedication, skill among themselves, and pride within the department.
