Welcome to Pirate & Treasure Hunt Week!
Dear Pirate Families,
We’re excited to welcome your child aboard for a thrilling week of swashbuckling fun at Obstacle Training Academy! From treasure map quests and obstacle course challenges to STEM shipbuilding and hands-on crafts, each day is designed to spark creativity, teamwork, and adventure.
Campers should wear gym-style clothing with rubber-soled sneakers. Pirate costumes, hats, and bandanas are encouraged, as long as they’re safe for active play.
Food Options:
Please feel free to send any snacks or lunch, drinks you would like for your child.
What we provide:
Snack (10:30am daily): Choice of apple or banana.
Lunch (12:30pm daily):
Monday – Pizza & Fries
Tuesday – choice of PB&J sandwich, or turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes on a mini sub w/bag of chips.
Wednesday – Home made Lunch-ables: crackers, cheese, veggies & fruit.
Thursday – choice of PB&J sandwich, or turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes on a mini sub, w/bag of chips.
Friday – Pizza & Fries

9:15–9:45am – Tumbling: “Roll Like a Pirate” (front rolls, side rolls, cannonball jumps)
9:45–10:30am – Outdoor Game: Parrot Tag

10:45–11:00am – Musical Hoops: Pirate Songs & Sea Shanties
11:00–11:30am – Group Game: “Steal the Treasure Chest” (dodgeball style)
11:30am–12:30pm – Ninja: Shipwreck Obstacle Run

1:00–1:20pm – Outdoor Game: Water Balloon Cannon Battle
1:20–1:45pm – Arts & Crafts: Cardboard/tinfoil Pirate Swords
1:45–2:30pm – Nerf Battle: “Defend the Pirate Ship”

3:15–4:00pm – STEM: Boat Float Test – Build pirate ships from tin foil and test how many coins they hold before sinking.

9:15–9:45am – Nerf Battle: Rescue the Lost Map
9:45–10:30am – Outdoor Game: Freeze Tag (“Frozen in the Brig”)

10:45–11:00am – Wall run tic Tac toe
11:00–11:30am – Parkour: Treasure Island Chase (floor is lava style group game)
11:30am–12:30pm – Ninja: Plank-Walk Gauntlet Training

1:00–1:20pm – Group activity: Paper airplanes, distance competition
1:20–1:45pm – Arts & Crafts: Pirate Maps (Aged) – Burn or tea-stain edges of paper to make weathered treasure maps.
1:45–2:30pm – Tumbling: “Flip the Doubloon” (jumps & spins)
2:30–3:15pm – Free Play
3:15–4:00pm – STEM: Pulley Systems – Use string and pulleys to hoist a “treasure chest” off the ground using 1, 2, and 3 pulleys.
4:00pm – Camper Pick-Up

8:45–9:15am – Warm-Up: Sword Stretches & Pirate Yoga

10:45–11:30am – Group Game: Pass the Treasure Chest (team relay)
11:30am–12:30pm – Ninja: Build-a-Shipwreck Course Challenge

1:20–1:45pm – Arts & Crafts: Message in a Bottle – Write notes or riddles, roll them up, and place them inside plastic bottles with sand.
1:45–2:30pm – Parkour: Swing Across the Lagoon

3:15–4:00pm – STEM: Pirate Zip Line – Send a “Pirate character puppet ” down a string zipline using paper clips.

9:15–9:45am – Nerf Battle: The Final Treasure War
9:45–10:30am – Outdoor Game: Water Cannon Battles (water bucket relay)
10:30–10:45am – Snack Break
10:45–11:00am – Story Time: Campers Write a Pirate Adventure with ChatGPT
11:00–11:30am – Group Game: Treasure Hunting with a Pirate map.
11:30am–12:30pm – Ninja: The Treasure Gauntlet Obstacle Finale
12:30–1:00pm – Lunch Break
1:00–1:20pm – Group Game: Walk the Plank Balance Challenge
1:20–1:45pm – Arts & Crafts: Pirate Treasure (collecting and painting rocks gold to make our own pirate gold.
1:45–2:30pm – Tumbling: Acrobat Showcase (tumble track and foam Pitt)
2:30–3:15pm – Free Play
3:15–4:00pm – STEM: Wind-Powered Pirate Ships – Build paper boats and race them using straws to blow wind.
