🌿 JVAS Summer Picnic at Canoe Creek State Park! 🌿

📍 Location: Canoe Creek State Park – Pavilion #3 is reserved.
🕠 Set-Up Begins: 5:30 PM
🍽️ Dinner Starts: 6:00 PM
🚶♀️ Optional Nature Walk: 7:00 PM
🦇 Bat Watch: 8:00 PM
Join Juniata Valley Audubon Society for an evening of good food, fellowship, and fresh air at the beautiful Canoe Creek State Park! Bring a dish to share and your own table setting. We’ll kick things off with set-up at 5:30, followed by a potluck-style picnic dinner at 6:00 PM.
After we eat, you’re welcome to stretch your legs on a leisurely nature walk at 7:00 PM, guided by members familiar with the park’s trails and summer wildlife. As twilight falls, we’ll gather near the lake for a special bat watch at 8:00 PM, where we’ll observe Canoe Creek’s famous bat colony emerging for their evening flight.
All are welcome – friends, families, and curious nature lovers!
Bring binoculars, bug spray, and your sense of wonder. 🦉🌙
