One simply cannot ignore the whispers surrounding Black Point Estate's latest endeavor—an evening dedicated to that most crucial of social weapons: etiquette. On August 9th, as the clock strikes five, society's ambitious souls shall gather to master the intricate dance of Victorian propriety.
Guests shall step into the Gilded Age to learn the delicate art of Victorian social etiquette—which, in deft hands, can turn even the most common dinner party into a rousing engagement. From the precise angle of one's soup spoon to the subtle methods of conducting banter over tea, no detail shall be overlooked.
I am told there shall be roleplay—how thrilling! —and an exploration of the era’s fashion proclivities. The evening promises wine, beer and delicacies, though this author suggests focusing on your deportment above all else.
Now, do remember, dear reader: it takes but one misplaced curtsy to tumble from grace—and considerably more to climb back up.

About the Location
Built in 1888 as a retreat for Chicago Beer Baron Conrad Seipp, Black Point Estate has persisted through the centuries as a historic place to relax, refresh, and explore the banks of Geneva Lake and beyond. Much like the Victorian VIPs who originally established the estate, visitors can enjoy the cool lake breezes on the mansion's veranda, sip Seipp beer, and listen to the soothing melodies of the authentic 1911 Chickering piano that rests just inside. As one of the oldest homes in Lake Geneva and a premier example of period architecture and furniture in the Midwest, Black Point Estate offers a glimpse into the rich and historic past of the Gilded Age.
