Join us all over the downtown on First Friday, September 5 for fun filled festivities including Revolution's semi-annual Parking Lot Party featuring DJ Skar spinning sizzling hot vinyl on the loading dock and delicious flavors of Muchie Rollz eggrolls, 5-8pm.
We'll be joined in the parking lot by a number of WRJ collaborators including Northern Stage and RePlay Arts with hands-on craft projects.
Oodles is kicking off a big Summer Sale on September 5th and over at COVER Home Repair they're open until 7pm and hosting a BYO Instrument music jam.
Flourish Beauty Lab is hosting a Shade Match Social 4-6pm, where you can get shade-matched with Vermont's best selection of women-owned indie clean makeup brands. Tickets are $15 each (or 2 for $25) - includes a $15 credit toward makeup purchase.
Junction Arts & Media is hosting an art opening with filmmaker, Natalie Jones on First Friday. Song for the Sea is a video installation exploring the textures and sounds of various bodies of water: lakes, ponds, river currents, waterfalls, and streams were filmed across Vermont, and ocean sequences were filmed in Maine.
JAM is also screening a bunch of short films in Lyman Point Park from 8pm until 9pm. After strolling the downtown, grab a lawn chair and see what the local movie makers have been working on at WRJollywood!
Long River Gallery is hosting an art opening of paintings by Betsy Derrick and over at Putnam's VineYard, Round Things will have a Pop Up Shop, Sutton Crawford will be doing tarot, Tom Horton Davis & Chloe Brisson will be playing live music, and there will be food & drinks specials from the Putnam's team including housemade limoncello and the flavors of Italy.
In addition to the Friday evening piano playing of David Fairbanks Ford, the Main Street Museum celebrates the opening reception for artist, Ashley Joblonski.
Tip Top Pottery offers no studio fees for First Friday after 5pm and be sure to drop in on our friends at the 'new' Filling Station where new management has taken all the best parts of WRJ's favorite dive bar and made it even better!
