Pre-K Kids In The Garden Program (9 week term)
$140 per term first child, $120 per term each subsequent child from same family.
Age range- 2 years to 5 years
Mondays 10am - 11am

Week 1
New Life on the Farm
Springtime means baby animals! We will meet the baby goats, chicks, and ducklings, learn how to gently pat them, and even bottle-feed a baby goat.

Week 2
Native Bee Hotel
We will learn about tiny native bees and why they are so important. Each child will make a little bee hotel to take home.

Week 3
Farmer for a Day
Little farmers will visit each animal on the farm, help with feeding, brushing, and caring for them – just like real farmers do.

Week 4
Garden Harvest & Spring Clean-Up
We will dig, W**d, and tidy the garden beds together. Afterwards, we will pick and taste fresh garden snacks to enjoy after our hard work.

Week 5
Preserving the Harvest
Children will help make a simple jar of pickled vegetables to take home and share with their family.

Week 6
Seed Saving
We will learn where seeds come from and collect seeds from the garden to take home and grow.

Week 7
The Life of a Compost Pile
We will explore the wriggly creatures inside the compost and learn how they turn food scraps into soil. Children will make a mini compost to watch at home.

Week 8
The Secret Life of Flowers
We will smell, touch, and learn about edible and medicinal flowers. Together, we will make flower lollipops and flower lemonade to share.

Week 9 (Final Week)
Homestead Christmas Gift Making
To celebrate the last class, children will make a special plantable Christmas card filled with flower seeds to give to someone they love.

What to bring each lesson
Enclosed shoes (Gumboots are best)
In case of wet weather-
We will have under cover wet weather activities organised
In case of severe weather-
Such as- Extreme heat, dangerous storms etc.. Classes may get canceled in the best interest of the health and safety of the children. If available, at the discretion of the facilitator, a makeup class may be offered in this instance.

The facilitator of this program holds an Advanced Diploma in Management, Diploma in Disability, Certificate 4 in Permaculture and Permaculture Teachers Certificate.
