Rules for Black Label Circuit
• Each competitor will be responsible for entrance fees to the lake.
• Each competitor must register and/or check-in in person with official Black Label Circuit staff before takeoff each morning of tournament for completion of waiver form and payment of tournament fees.
• Competition days will be safelight until 2:30pm. Anglers must be back at ramp off plane by 2:30, to be considered on time. If late, a 1 pound per minute late penalty up to 15 minutes will be enforced. Beyond 15 minutes will be complete disqualification.
• Blast off numbers will be drawn prior to take off at each event.
• If competing as a team, the team must register as a team at the beginning of season. No substitute partners will be allowed for season or championship. However, either member of each team can compete alone, if needed, in any event.
• Safe boat conduct must be observed at all times by competitors.
• During the official competition, each boat passenger must wear a Coast Guard-approved chest-type life preserver anytime the combustion engine is running. This preserver must be strapped, snapped or zippered securely, worn outside the outermost clothing and maintained in that condition until the combustion engine is shut off. Violation of this rule may be reason for disqualification.
• Competitors in Black Label Circuit tournaments are expected to maintain high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, fair play, safety and conservation. Any infraction of these fundamental sporting principles may be deemed cause for disqualification.
• All competitors are bound by the prevailing statutes and regulations of Mississippi
Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
• All boats must contain a functioning livewell system, and all anglers will be responsible to keep fish healthy for the conservation of our fisheries.
• There is a 5 fish limit
• There is no minimum length for bass.
•Artificial lure only
• For each legal dead bass presented to weigh-in officials, the competitor shall be penalized 0.25 ounces.
• All live fish weighed in must be released into the competition lake.
• Upon a tie for first place during Qualifier and/or Championship events, there shall be a sudden-death fish-off between the tied anglers. The first angler back to the ramp during the sudden-death fish-off with a legal fish wins the event.
• Black Label Circuit Events will be on a 1-point-per-place point format starting with first place being 50 points, second place being 49, third place being 48 etc.
• Competitors must weigh a bass during competition to receive points. In the case where one or more competitors do not weigh a legal bass, points will end at the place of competitors
weighing a legal bass.
• Year-end points tiebreakers will be broken by highest cumulative weight from the Qualifier
