"Your Body is Your Anchor" is our first Wellbeing Session hosted from our Wigan Hub in which participants will be invited to explore the body as a stable and grounding anchor in moments of stress, distraction, or emotional overwhelm. Through a gentle, guided practice, they will reconnect with their physical presence, cultivating awareness, curiosity, and a non-judgmental attitude toward their inner experience.
The session will last approximately 45 to 50 minutes. Here’s a brief breakdown:
⚓ Brief check-in and group introductions
⚓ Individual reflection: participants will be invited to write a
word that represents their relationship with the body
⚓ Sharing a personal intention for the session (optional)
⚓ Guided mindfulness practice focused on body awareness
⚓ Post-practice reflection using a short handout (individually or
as a conversation starter in small groups)
⚓ Final group reflection & closing
Purpose:
To offer a safe space for cultivating presence and inner connection through the body, encouraging self-awareness, emotional grounding, and a mindful attitude that participants can carry into their daily lives.
