This nature based herbal session focuses on January themes of grounding, cleansing and setting yourself up well for the year ahead.
You will make your own smudge sticks with sage and other local herbs, an important and traditional calming activity that symbolises a new start. Then we’ll explore the uses of dandelion root, including how to prepare it and why it has been valued in traditional herbal practice.
Dandelion root may seem unusual, but it’s a great choice for the new year and very versatile; the tinctures we’ll create during the session can be used in many ways, from drinks to remedies and more.
So if you’re curious about these everyday plants and the history and uses of herbs at this time of year, please come along and try some hands-on fun in this relaxing, creative session.
There will also be a full bar at the venue with a range of drinks available, including soft drinks.
