As many of you know, we love supporting our local community whenever we can.
Last Christmas, we teamed up with the amazing ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ธ๐ญ๐ฒ๐ต๐ผ ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ช๐ถ๐ผ for their Annual Christmas Toy Appeal โ and wow, our fantastic customers didnโt disappoint! The generosity shown through the gifts you donated was incredible.
After the success of our last ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐จ๐๐ค๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ, which raised vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK, we felt it was time to bring it back home โ to a charity thatโs especially close to our hearts.
Our own Debs spent over 20 years working in childrenโs social care and saw first-hand the struggles many families face. Sadly, those tough times havenโt eased โ in fact, the latest figures show theyโre getting worse. As of March 2023, ๐๐.๐% ๐จ๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ง were living in relative poverty โ the highest rate since records began.
But there is hope.
Right here in the heart of Wigan, ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ธ๐ญ๐ฒ๐ต๐ผ ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ช๐ถ๐ผ is working tirelessly to make sure no child goes without the basics โ or misses out on the joyful experiences every childhood deserves. Their work is life-changing, and we want to help.
๐ So, weโre bringing back our ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐จ๐๐ค๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ on ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก, and this time, itโs all in aid of Daffodils Dreams!
