Memphis-raised singer-songwriter (Kelly Hunt) and native Kansan/former music teacher (Beth Watts Nelson) may look like an odd couple at first glance but the music they make suggests otherwise. These two are soul sisters, and their voices blend with the kind of easy closeness usually relegated to blood bonds. Taking turns on banjo, guitar, and harmony/lead vocals, Hunt and Nelson bob and weave through a medley of time-honored traditionals and patinated originals seemingly unearthed from the songbook of Americana.
